We are excited to share that NRT doctoral trainees will be presenting their research at the TMS Annual Meeting & Exhibition 2026, one of the leading international conferences in materials science and engineering.

The 2026 TMS Annual Meeting & Exhibition will bring together researchers, industry leaders, and academic institutions from around the world to share advances in materials processing, additive manufacturing, and multifunctional materials.

This year, NRT trainees will present five accepted research papers across multiple symposia, covering topics such as:

  • Powder bed fusion process windows for copper

  • Additive manufacturing and optimization of PEEK for medical implants

  • Micro- and nano-scale surface design for 3D printed biomaterials

  • Fatigue behavior and damage accumulation in advanced alloys

  • Mechanical characterization of solid-state diffusion weldments

Participation in TMS provides students with the opportunity to disseminate their research, engage with the broader materials community, and gain valuable professional development experience through international conference presentation.

We look forward to supporting our trainees as they represent the NRT program at TMS 2026.
